AADCorganizedafairfortravel,tourismand
hotel services on 2012 in its headquarters
with participation of other 10 companies
specialized in providing these types of
services for AADC’s employees and their
families for a period of three days from
Tuesday to Thursday.
Many companies including Global Holidays, Safety Travel
and Tourism, Hala Travel Management, Bin Saleh Travel LLC,
Al Sharqiah Holidays, Bawabat Al Atalate, Labbaik for Hajj,
Umrah, Sidrat campaign for Hajj and Umrah, and Ayla Hotel
participated in the fair.
Mohamed Bin Omair Al Shamsi; Managing Director of AADC
said that “the company is keen on providing special services
for its employees in corporation with many other travel com-
panies and hotels through offering their services to the staff.
Organizing such fairs every year and in the holiday season
comes in line with providing services to employees and their
families, the matter that boosts the social role and stresses
the concept of one family among staff”.
He added that existence of these travel and tourism compa-
nies in the fair participates in providing employee with many
choices to determine the travel destination in the holidays
and benefit from the offers presented by these companies,
discounts in prices and special services as they can commu-
nicate with the company the prefer in one place to get the
best offer”.
AL-Shamasi thanked the participants stressing that taking
part in this fair would complete other fairs organized by the
concerned entities in the field of travel and hostelry.

Student visit to AADC
The Managing Director of AADC,
Mohamed BinOmair Al Shamsi declared
that “we are keen on encouraging
students to utilize the experience in
company of engineers and technicians
aiming at leveling up experience of
the national human resources in their
specialized fields”.
The visit included a lecture in which
students presented their project of
graduation on the supplier’s protection
devices. They discussed with engineers
the most important instructions and
guidance that help them and provide
them with the support in their research
project. Engineers kept them informed of
the latest technologies and techniques
followed in AADC to protect the power
networks (transmission and distribution
networks) against malfunction through
isolation of defective parts of the
electrical network.
Students made a tour in Heli station
to know the basic component of
protection electrical systems and the
importance of electric protection that
lurks in reducing damages which the
equipments may incur as a result of
high voltage or heat that may result
from malfunction to avoid or decrease
the damages persons or operators may
incur.
Eng. Azhary Ahmed; an operation
engineering said that the aim of the
protection system is to keep the system
stable through isolating the damaged
part only, to keep the current in other
parts of the electrical network working.
Consequently, the protection plants
shall have be applied following based on
a scientific and practical methodology
to get rid of faults correctly.
This aim of visit was experience
exchange with other academic
institutions where the light was shed on
the way of taking precautions necessary
for protection, security and safety from
electrical hazards. In addition, it comes
as encouragement for students to
learn and keep in line with equipments
and educating them new scientific
experiences in the field of protection,
security and safety against electrical
hazards.
AADC received a number of students from the
department of electrical engineering of Higher
Colleges of Technology in the department project
completion, to present their graduation project
specialized in the required protection devices
required for suppliers before concerned engineers
in the company.
