The visit included a tour in the
lab divisions and provision of
detailed explanation about the
chemical and biological labs. It
focused also on techniques of
taking samples from water and
testing samples precisely. In
addition, some of investigations
that used in controlling water’s quality, concentration
of chlorinate, acidity, turbidity, ions, organic volatile
compounds, bacteria and heavy elements were
explained as well.
The aim of the visit was to exchange practical
experience with academic institutions in addition to
encouraging students to learn and keep up with new
technology and gaining new expertise from lab fields.

Laboratory department
last May to keep
them informed on
latest techniques and
technologies used in
testing water and making sure of its
conformity to international standards
out of belief in encouraging students to
utilize experience provided and leveling
up the national young cadres.

AADC organized a
scientific lecture for
the students of faculty
of Engineering fifth
year, department of
electrical engineering, in
UAE University entitled
“practical expertise
in electrical power
distribution systems”
for boosting the role of
scientific participation
of the company that
aims at serving the local
community, which called
the social responsibility.
The Managing Director of AADC,
Mohamed Bin Omair Al Shamsi
announced that “AADC usually seeks to
effectuate the research efforts exerted
by students and encouraging them to go
on in implementing creative scientific
projects and enhancing its role in social
services.
He asserted that AADC delivers
these sessions out of its keen on the
importance of playing a major role in
supporting learning and encouraging
students to work in such specialties to
serve the community.
Eng. Hussein Abdullah Khabor, power
planning engineer, delivered the lecture
in which he confirmed the importance
of linking scientific experience with
theoretical ideas in the university
focusing at the same time on the gaps
uncovered in these ideas. The doctor
who is supervising students and the
head of electrical division expressed his
satisfaction regarding the valuable and
comprehensive lecture that was useful
to students. They asked the engineer to
deliver it again in the coming semester.
The lecture aimed at encouraging
students to utilize the expertise of
AADC to level up the qualifications of
national young cadres by providing the
information needed to be applied in the
scientific life and in the future.
