Celebrates TheWorldWater Day
Al Ain Distribution Company
Celebrated the World Water
Day which was held this year
under the slogan of “Food
security and water” in the
center of Al Ain Mall over three
days of March 2012.
The company started its activities
by organizing a photo exhibition in
order to raise the awareness of the
rationalization importance and water
conservation in addition to holding a
variety of contests, the winners of which
receive souvenirs. The exhibition also
includes songs and presentations on
rationalization along with advertising
the official representative character of
the company, “Keturah”; an indicative
cartoon character reflects the water
and the importance of its rational use.

Company stated : “Our aim today is to
build bridges of communication and
cooperation with local and international
organizations to share issues and
matters of concern to humanity in
general and our society in particular,
where we in “ Al Ain distribution” are
always seeking to be at the forefront of
participants in local and regional events
considering them as an integral part of
the company’s policies and
its interest and interaction with social
issues. Today we do not miss the
opportunity to celebrate the World
Water Day, through which we seek to
draw the decent public attention to the
problem of growing lack of water not
only in theUAE but around theworld.The
activities included awareness campaigns
with the aim of raising the awareness
level among different segments of
society regarding water issues and the
importance of water conservation and
its rational use to achieve sustainable
development objectives, and then
publications to raise awareness of ways
of rationalization, security and safety of
its use were distributed.
The company through its activities
highlighted its core business related
to water in terms of kind, quality and
giving them priority in the interest
in order to deliver consumers pure
and healthy water that comes in line
with the highest international quality
standards.
Al Ain Distribution organizes
an awareness workshop on the
occasion ofWorldWater Day
In celebration of the World Water Day, Al Ain Distribution
Company organized an awareness workshop in Al Ain Rotana
Hotel in which Al Ain Municipality and Abu Dhabi Environment
authority participated. The workshop has been attended by a
number of managers and officials of government and private
authorities as well as a number of Al Ain Distribution Company
Staff.
Al Ain Distribution Company has provided
a worksheet entitled “Water consumption
patterns in Al Ain”. Engineer Mohamed Eid,
Water Operation and Maintenance Division
Manager presented selections of news and
articles which have been published in Arab
and foreign newspapers related to water and
food security in the Arab World, particularly
in the Countries of Gulf Cooperation Council
(GCC) and the importance of activating the
mechanisms of rationalization of water and
food consumption as a strategic option for
dealing with the issue of resources scarcity.
