Al Ain Distribution Company participates in
Water Day Events in Al – Theqa School
Al Ain Distribution Company has participated in the events of Water Day organized by Al Theqa Primary School (first
session) in cooperation with Laalea School, Al Tamayoz School and Sheikha Bint Seror School.
The Company has submitted various events for the students during the Water Day celebration urging them to rationalize
the water and electricity consumption, including special studio for the female students and the cartoon characters of
rationalization «Noor and Katoora». In addition, stories about rationalization were distributed to the female students
and mothers and awareness lecture was given to the female students and school staff explaining to them the proper
daily practice and the optimum usage of energy.
Al Ain Distribution Company has participated in spring festival of 2014 which was organized by Al Ain Municipality,
represented in western community sector services management, in collaboration with the office of Her Excellency
Sheikha Mozah Daughter of Saeed Al Nahyan and a number of governmental departments and institutions, in Al
Yahar Park at Al Ain. This participation was aimed to inform the visitors about the company, enhance the community
participation thereof and to highlight the positive role in community services alongside its primary role in distributing
water and electricity in the city of Al Ain and its suburbs.
Events included cultural competitions and recreational sessions presented to park goers, and a free painting studio
where the children expressed the importance of energy in their daily lives, as well as a photo gallery included the
drawings of school students, through the campaign «Save today for a better tomorrow».
An awareness lecture has been introduced to the park visitors in which the engineer Abdullah Al Marzouky presented an
explanation for ways to rationalize the consumption of electricity in homes and provide safe and ideal environment for
the use of electrical tools in an economical, energy-saving ways. He also explained the ways to avoid risks of electricity
and different methods to rationalize water consumption in everyday life like Showering, laundering and cleaning.
In addition, we worked to raise awareness of the park visitors through distributing brochures and pamphlets in order to
disseminate and promote the safety and security and achieve better ways for rationalizing the consumption of water
and electricity.
