Al Ain Distribution Company took in the Middles East exhibition for Electricity 2014 held in Abu Dhabi International Convention
andExhibitionCenter in the last February under the generous sponsorshipof H.H: SheikhMaktoomBinMuhammadBinRashed
Al Maktoom, Deputy of Dubai Governor. The Company has participated
within the wing of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority located in
the exhibition, which is considered of the biggest exhibitions specialized
in the electricity sector in the area. More than 1200 companies from 54
countries have participated in the exhibition which was visited by about
20000 specialized visitors from more than 100 countries.
Muhammad Bin Omayer Al Shamsi, General Manager of Al Ain
Distribution Company said that «the participation shall grant us the
opportunity to identify the modern techniques used in the field of
electricity and convene with the engineers and experts specialized in
the field of energy to exchange experience and transfer the gained
skills and enter the same in the work system to provide the clients with
the best services».
BinOmayeraddedthat thenumberofelectricityconnectionapplications
is growing as it has reached about 2131 applications by the end of the
last year «2013», as well as the number of strengthening applications
has reached about 465 applications. Such numbers reflect the growing
demand on electricity to cope with the development and accelerated
urban growth that Al Ain City and its suburbs witness.
Bin Omayer added also that Al Ain Distribution Company owns all the
required facilities and techniques that enable it to manage the projects
thereof with high quality to cover all the city needs from electricity.
Thus, the companies of electricity distribution shall be required to
adopt the modern techniques used in the projects management to
raise the level of performance and improve the quality of the services
provided thereby to the clients and subscribers.
Al Ain has recently benefited from these modern techniques by
conducting maintenance over the overhead lines without cutting off
the power supply in cooperation with SOS Company to conduct
maintenance over the overhead lines of 11 KV without cutting off the
power supply. In addition, the Company›s engineers were trained on
the applicable procedures and steps required to conduct the periodic
maintenance. The Company adopts such technique to reduce the
number of outages that the consumers suffer from while conducting
the periodic maintenance and to save the surplus while conducting the
periodic maintenance over the overhead lines of 11 KV.
The Company has also contracted with Canadian trainers from EITI
Company specialized in conducting the maintenance of overhead lines
without cutting the power supply off to theoretically and practically
train the engineers working in Al Ain Distribution Company with the aim
of training a greater number of technicians and engineers to improve
their level of performance in executing the works and tasks assigned
thereto. The Company›s engineers have passed the necessary tests
and obtained the certificate of maintenance works supervision from
the Canadian Company.
Al Ain Distribution Company participates in the events of Abu
Dhabi Job Fair 2014 held in Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions
Center over three days of the last February. The Company has
participated in the fair within the wing of Abu Dhabi Water and
Electricity Authority. The fair was attended by various leading
sectors and institution in the country.
The General Manger of Al Ain Distribution, Mr. Muhammad
Salim Bin Omayer Al Shamsi stated the Company is keen
on participating in job fairs annually to attract the best
human efficiencies that able to achieve the Al Ain goals and
accomplish required works with the highest level of services
submitted to the public.
Bin Omyer addea also that Al Ain has enabled to a ratio of
Emiratization of %98 in the managerial positions, as the
Company seeks to increase the Emiratization ratio in the
managerial and technical positions by means of coordinating
withal governmental authorities specialized in Emiratization.
The Company has encouraged the nationals to join the technical and specialized positions by concluding agreements
with competent authorities, including Abu Dhabi Vocational Education and Training Institute. According to the concluded
agreement, the Company shall sponsor some of the students admitted to the Institute during the period of study extending
to three years. The Institute shall provide the students with the services of vocational education and training in a line with
the Company›s needs from the technical positions and
specialties.
Al Shamsi added that the Company participates in the Fair
with the aim of enabling the national job seekers to find job
opportunities suit with their qualifications and ambitions,
attracting the best national specialized efficiencies and
distinguishes cadres and exploiting this chances to
communicate with our student sons and direct them to
the real needs of the job market, which direction shall
have great effect on defining the students› majors and
orientations.
The human resource and management employees have
identified the Fair development program to which the
fresh graduates of different occupational and technical
specialties shall join to a period of one year and half to
develop the graduates› abilities and refine their efficiency,
thus theemployeesshall beawareof theoccupational tasks
thereof. Training be available for the employees throughout
the year by joining the training and practical courses
organized by the leading training institute I the country.
The Company shall put its employees on its priorities
list by providing distinguished working environment and
applying the best criteria of performance. The Company
plays an important role in building its human resources as
it provides the employees with a group of distinguished
occupational incentives.
