Al Ain Distribution Company has
organized workshop about the
criteria of institutional excellence in
cooperation with one of the centers
of development, training abilities
enhancement and researches in
the country. The workshop has
lasted for two days and held in the
main building of the Company. The
workshop has targeted the program
of excellence, quality coordinator
and other group of human
resources that have been selected
to represent the departments.
The course aims at developing the
employees› experts, improving their
daily performance, qualifying and
developing their professional skills
in a manner that support the steps
of excellence for all employees and
workersintheCompany’smanagement
to suit the strategic policies laid by the
Company and develop the methods
and styles of work.

The faculty of Engineering, UAE University has organized the
international conference of the renewable energy – third session
– at the Faculty of Information Technology in the new campus
under the sponsorship of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity
Authority.
Mr. Badr Nasser Al Zhli, Chief Operations Officer of Al Ain
Distribution Company has received the shield and certificate
of appreciation on behalf of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity
Authority due to its exclusive sponsorship for the event.
This conference is like an international forum to discuss the
leading scientific researches concerning the latest developments
and updates in the field of renewable energy. The conference
is considered also as an opportunity to evaluate the challenges
and the future of the renewable energy technology in all over
the world, Gulf Area and the United Arab Emirates in particular.
The conference was attended by researchers and scientists of
energy from different countries who discussed about 70 research
papers concerning the renewable energy.
The conference was opened by Professor «Muhammad Al Beyali»
Vice Chancellor of UAE University for Scientific Affairs, and in
the presence of Professor «Reyad Al Mehedab» Vice Chancellor
of the University for the scientific research and postgraduate
studies affairs, as well as by a group of researchers, scientists,
specialists in the field of the renewable energy researches and
study and a group of the University students.

course is to identify the criteria of
the institutional excellence concept,
familiarize the participant employees
with the concepts and principles of
the governmental management to
achieve the institutional excellence,
refine their skills in the field of
institutional planning and develop
their skills of excellence be defining
their role in building the culture of
excellence within the company,
as well as to grant them special
knowledge and skills concerning
the dimensions and factors of the
management process for excellence.
The lecture has handled the
awareness of the criteria of
institutional excellence, among
these the system of «radar»
to assess and evaluate the
institution
performance.
This
system shall allow the company
to comprehensively evaluate its
performance, in addition to the
possibility to correct the track
during the application by means
of the contentious reviews of
work procedures and plans
implementation
methods.
The interaction level of themanaging
directors, heads of departments
and employees who participated
in the course gives a positive
indicator that the whole adopts
the culture of excellence and that
they are keen on the participation
in such courses with the aim of
achieving the requirements that
make the company as a model in
the distinguished work through
the services it provides for its
