Al Ain Distribution Company was selected as one of
the elite companies and leading institutions over the
Arab and Islamic World in 2013. This selection was
made by Tateej Academy for Excellence Awards.
Al Ain Distribution Company was honored in
Dubai, Burj Al Arab Hotel in the seventh session
of coronation ceremony under the patronage
and attendance of H.E Eng. Sultan Saeed Al
Mansouri, Minister of Economy of the United
Arab Emirates.
The ceremony was held exclusively for the
leading and administrative characters and the
elite companies over the Arab and Islamic World.
The ceremony witnessed honoring the companies
over the Arab World in recognition of their efforts and
achievements. Elite of distinguished characters that
have contributed to develop the administrative performance
was also honored in the ceremony by Tatweej Academy to
shed the lights on a part of the Arab creativity forms.
Al AinDistributionCompanywas nominated for such coronation
on the occasion of winning Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award
«SKEA» for golden category in services sector, twelfth
session, in the ceremony organized by Abu Dhabi Chamber
of Commerce and Industry under the patronage of His
Highness
General Muhammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi,
Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. The General Manager
of Al Ain Distribution Company, Muhammad Salim Bin Omayer Al Shamsi has
received the award from H.H. Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court.
Al Ain Distribution Company has organized, in conjunction with Al Ain Investment Club the Earth Hour celebration in Hazaa Bin
Zayed Stadium from 8:30 till 9:30. The celebration included switching off all lights and unnecessary devices as well as lighting
candles as a symbolic sign to the rationalization of power. This initiative was coordinated with the Department of Civil Defense to
ensure the safety of the pitch of HazaaBinZayedStadiumat the time of holding the celebration. This celebration coincidedwith the
global initiative of Earth Hour with the aim of spreading the culture of environmental
awareness and protecting the earth planet from climate changes.
Mr. Muhammad Salem Bin Omayer Al Shamsi, the General
Manager of Al Ain Distribution has declared saying «the Earth
Hour is considered one of the most important annual global
initiatives that aims at drawing the attention to the issues of
environment and energy. Al Ain Distribution Company and
Al Ain Club Investment resolved to celebrate in Hazaa Bin
Zayed Stadium as it is considered the latest stadium in the
area and due to its broad fan base exceeding the local
geographical scope. Thus, the message of rationalization
shall be delivered to big number of followers, such
message urges the followers to conserve the energy and
use it optimally.
The Company has agreed with Al Ain Investment Club to
switch the power off in Tahnon BinMuhammad and Khalifa
Bin Zayed and in all buildings owned by the Club. Al Ain
Distribution Company has switched off the power in the main
buildings and all branches owned thereby, in addition, the street
lightings were reduced in certain areas of Al Ain City.
Al Ain Distribution Company has urged the governmental and private
institutions and individuals to take part in the Erath Hour celebration, by
means of designing video clip entitled «make change and switch the lights off.
The said video clip was transmitted via the means of social networking and various mass
media by advertising in Emirate FM and the Holy Quran radio and the company extension of invitations to all its subscribers by
sending text messages and e-mails to all institutions, governmental and private departments and the Company›s employees
urging urge them to take part in switching off the unnecessary lights during the time fixed for the celebration of Earth Hour
