The team also explained the method and mechanisms to obtain and benefit from the service and as for the owners of
new facilities, whether residential or public, through the specification of electrical materials or those related to water
connections so as to be in accordance with the standards and technical requirements necessary to preserve the safety
of the population and rationalize consumption.
The company introduced a dynamic model that contains water faucet and gauge which measures the difference when
using the rationalization filter in the faucet and reflects the extent of the provision of waste water with and without using
the filter, to show visitors the importance of energy-saving devices.
The company also introduced some techniques of maintenance system that contributes effectively to the sustainability
and raises the level of service provided to the customers where a draft of new integrated management of water systems
was presented which includes the construction of hydraulic models for networks and the installation of modern automated
systems for early detection of leakage, which contributes to raising operational capacity of water networks, reduce the
wastage and improve the performance of human resources specialized in operation, maintenance and conducting early
detection of leakage which would lead to achieving sustainability through preservation of the network key assets and reduce
breakdowns, thus reducing the damage could happened to the services provided and on the surrounding environment.
Al Ain Distribution Company has also allocated a part of
the area thereof at the exhibition as a cultural corner for
rationalization which aims to raise community awareness
of the rationalization and optimal use of energy issues,
where the company offers a range of ordinary and energy-
saving light bulbs connected with electric meter that
shows the difference between energy consumption and
cost calculation for both bulbs. The exhibition visitors have
been familiarized through this corner with the differences
between old and new automatic meters, and how to
operate, read and separate each read of these meters.
The company introducedways to rationalize the consumption
of water and electricity in everyday life like Showering,
laundering and cleaning with an explanation of how to rationalize
consumption and provide a safe and ideal environment to use
the tools economically that saves water and electricity. Brochures and
pamphlets were distributed which encourage the rationalization of water and electricity consumption, demonstrate
the concept of rationalization and the best ways to use energy and urge them to change some of their daily behaviors
concerning the optimal use of energy.
Models have been presented to explain the nature of work and steps used for distributing water and electricity in the
city of Al Ain.
Awareness movies have been shown by the company especially on the YouTube channel; to educate the young
generation across the channels of visual communication in the preferred method to children through cartoon characters
used by the company in its awareness campaigns “Noor, Keturah and Salama” which have been adapted in the movies
to explain the daily wrong habits and what should be done.
A theater has been allocated for the exhibition goers and school students through the suit of the company in order to
view rationalization movies in both Arabic and English, to conduct dynamic and direct communication with them and
to organize rationalization questions and competitions thus distribute gifts.
The company also distributed to exhibition goers a rationalization boxes which contain devices that the rationalization
efficiency thereof may reach to 60 percent without affecting the pumping power; in addition the consumer can be installed
easily at home.
The participation of the company in the exhibition through the Suite was for presenting a definition for the company and
activities and efforts carried out in order to provide the best services distributing water and electricity in an effective, safe,
environmentally friendly way and affordable.
