In promotion of statistical
awareness of its staff
hosts of Statistics
Center - Abu Dhabi
educational workshop in the Dept. of Municipal
Affairs – Al Maqam
In its Main Building, AADC hosted
Abu Dhabi Statistics Center staff
to promote statistical awareness
initiative launched by the Statistics
Center. The visiting delegation held
a special symposium on introducing
the National Bureau of Statistics
and giving a brief overview about
Abu Dhabi Statistics Center and
the role it plays. They also worked
on promoting statistical awareness
among
employees
through
presentation of the center’s current
and prospective projects.
The symposium included a five-
minutes video show besides a
-15minutes illustrative show, and
then the platform was open for staff
inquiries and answers to them.
AADC organized an educational
workshop
on
rationalization
of energy consumption, Al Ain
Municipality staff, in Al Maqam,
with the purpose of informing
employees about proper practices
and behaviors related to energy
consumption and illustrating the
importance of their participation
in conservation of these resources
during official working hours.
Thisworkshopcomesinachievement
of AADC strategy of promoting
sustainable development in Al Ain
city and supporting and entrenching
AADC role in increasing awareness
among employees in all public
and private institutions, agencies
and circles, through spreading the
culture of rationalization and means
of energy conservation.
The workshop began with a lecture
on the importance of rationalization
and the optimum usage of water and
electricity services, following which
AADC engineers illustrated some
mistaken practices committed by
some employees duringwork period.
So, an engineer explained to them
how to contribute to rationalization
through changing such behaviors
and adopting practices that would
contribute to energy conservation,
like shut down a computer upon
finishing work and drawing officials’
attention to make sure cleanness
workers turn off lights and air
conditioners after office hours.
Engineers then commended the
extent of departments staffs’
reaction, with the departments
thankfully showing considerable
cooperation that would contribute
to substantially saving energy.
