Launching the
Young Memorizer
Contest
AADClaunchedthesecondsuccessive
tournament of the “Young [Qur’an]
Memorizer” contest, which targets the
children of AADC staff, classified into
three age-based categories of both
male and female children:
First Category: Children From 4 to 6
years old
Second Category: Children from 7
to 12 years old
Third Category: Children from 13 to
17 years old.
This is a contest for memorization of
the Glorious Qur’an and mastery of
recitation and Tajwid skills, and it shall
be held during the present month.
Besides, it covers memorization of
all parts of the Qur’an, with each
category required to be memorizing
a specific section as is stated in the
contest terms, on top of which is
that the contester masters perfect
pronunciation of sound and mastery
of Tajwid skills, including rules on
proper pausing and starting of
recitation (Waqf and Ibtida’).
The administration set a date for a
meeting between the contesters and
the members of arbitration committee
that affiliates with the Endowments
Qur’an and Sunnah Foundation,
which shall in turn oversee evaluation
of the memorizers.
This contest is part of a series of
cultural activities organized by
AADC within its plan targeting
encouragement of youth to
memorizer the Glorious Qur’an
through promoting the spirit of
competition among them and
enhancing their recitation skills.
The company also held a ceremony
for honoring the winners in the
context, which was attended by
a number of departments and
sections heads, and in which prizes
were awarded to the top three of
each category.
