AADC participated in the Fifth
Population Forum among the public
of the Northern Region in Al Hayer
area, which was organized by the
Directorate of Municipal Affairs - Al Ain
Municipality
- in cooperation with
government and semi-government
authorities and agencies in the field
of downtown services. The forum
falls within a series of societal forums
conducted by the municipality in
embodiment of its strategy whose
target is toopenhorizonsof cooperation
with government authorities and with
the public, and upgrade efficiency of
services delivered to the citizens and
to the community at large. It takes
place in support of the principle of
social participation and of working on
development of services delivered to
the citizens and the community through
the opinions of customers themselves
as conveyed to themunicipality officials
and other participating authorities.
The forum, which witnessed a huge
turnout on the part of inhabitants
and residents of the downtown
services sector, was attended by the
Director of AADC Water Department,
engineer Salem Al Afari, H.E. Dr.
Matar Muhammad Al Nuaimi, Director
General of Al Ain Municipality, as well
as representatives of government
and semi-government authorities
and institutions, and members of
the Municipal Council. Dr. Matar
Muhammad Al Nuaimi stressed Al Ain
Municipality’s keenness to promote
the methodology of communication,
cooperation and partnership with the
population.
The forum, which commenced with
a discussion of public proposals and
requests, reviewed 60 achievements
by 18 participant authorities, namely
Al Ain Municipality, Al Ain Distribution
Company, the General Authority for
Islamic Affairs and Endowments, the
Department of Transport, ADNOC
Distribution, Banking Sector, Abu
Dhabi Food Control Authority, Abu
Dhabi Education Council, Abu Dhabi
Center of Waste Management, Family
Development Foundation, Higher
Colleges of Technology, Department
of Economic Development, Camel
Racing Federation, Emirates Post,
Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi
Health Services Company (SEHA), Abu
Dhabi Police, and Abu Dhabi Education
Council.
Participating in the Fifth Population Forum
Under the auspices of Sheikha Fatimah and
under the motto, “Empowering the family …
Achievements and prospective visions,”
AADC participates in“Usrat Al
Dar [Family House] 2014” Forum
AADC participated in the events
of Usrat Al Dar Forum that is
held by Family Development
Foundation (FDF), under the
motto, “Empowering the family,”
in coincidence with the world
celebrations of the International Day
of Families. The forum is held under
the patronage of H.H. Shiekha
Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson
of the General Women’s Union
(GWU), Supreme Chairperson of
the Family Development Foundation
(FDF), and President of the Supreme
Council for Motherhood and
Childhood. Through participation
in the introductory forum, AADC
aims to benefit from the programs,
services and initiatives offered by
social sector institutions targeting
the family through participant
authorities’ review of major
challenges and social issues a
family faces, and putting forth
solutions to it. The forum was
attended by representatives to a
number of government authorities
and institutions and of specialists of
familial and societal affairs.
