Lighting

Use high energy efficient fluorescent lights.
Minimize or turn off indoor and outdoor lights during the day and make use of natural light as far as possible.
Use timers or photovoltaic cells for boundary lamps to prevent lighting during day time.
Use the appropriate number of lamps as per the place area and the actual need for lighting.
Use bright colors while painting of the internal walls, this will help in reflecting of lights that can provide good
lighting with less numbers of lamps.
Maintenance and periodical cleaning of the lightening units will increase their efficiency.
Turn your lights and air conditioning off when you step out of the house.
