Door Zayed’s Painting Decorating the
Facade of Al Ain Distribution
In response to the announcement of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE,
May Allah Protect him for the year 2018, Year of Zayed,a set of events of Al Ain Distribution Company were
launched on that regard, whose approach and initiatives are inspired from the wisdom and legacy of the late
Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan through going forward on the high values that H.H instilled to advance the
process of construction and development.
Al Ain Distribution Company celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan
Al Nahyan, by putting a solar painting in the façade of the main building of the Company and to holding an
exhibition entitled “Memory of a Homeland” inspired by some rare pictures of Sheikh Zayed in cooperation
with the national archive of the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, with the aim of informing the employees and
customers of the personality, vision and mission of this great leader.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Shuraiani, Acting General Manager of Al Ain Distribution Company, operated the painting with
the participation of a number of mangers of departments and section heads where he toured the exhibition, saw
photos and learnt about the places where such photos were taken and their details.
The exhibition was also accompanied by participation of rare Emirates Heritage and the GeneralWomen’s Union,
presenting a collection of authentic heritage and handicrafts to open before the employees’ heritage doors and
embody images of the lives of parents and grandparents. The participation of the authorities reflects the interest
of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan in the UAE heritage.
It is worth mentioning that the initiatives included the distribution of Zayed’s logo to the employees to be
adorning their chests, with a warm welcome from all on this occasion. The country celebrates the centennial
of Zayed Al-Khair, and the staff of the Year of Zayed Committee changed the names of the main halls of the
Company to bear the name of Zayed and Khalifa and Umm Al Emarat for the meeting and implementing a
workshop daily under the names that spread the spirit of belonging and loyalty in the hearts of everyone.
Mr. Abdullah Al-Shuraiani, General Manager of Al Ain Distribution Company, confirmed that the Company has
approved that Year of Zayed team plays its role by setting the agenda of the initiatives approved by the senior
management, which came in line with the event as it is diverse with a focus on the life aspects of education,
women and environment, people of determination, and the elderly, which was given a close attention from the
late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, pointing out that Year of Zayed team is looking forward to spreading
visions and consolidating the principles and values which are the main points of strength of the UAE.
Commenting on the exhibition, Abdullah Al-Shuraani said: «This exhibition is held in
celebration of Year of Zayed, and it is a vivid embodiment of the love, sincerity and
appreciation we have for this inspiring leader, whose words are still doing their work in
our community and our children are taking as a guiding light on the path of development,
prosperity, tolerance, determination and insistence, which are rooted values in the
culture and community of the UAE.
