Al Ain Distribution Receives

a Delegation from Ras Al

Khaimah Municipality

Al Ain Distribution Company, represented by the Customer Service Department, hosted a delegation from the

Department of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Municipality Department in Ras Al Khaimah

to review the best practices, procedures and standards of the Demand Management Program and discuss the

possibility of unifying efforts in the Demand Management Programs for the future. Moreover, Todd Davis,

Consultant and Head of the Demand Management Program, outlined Al Ain Distribution’s Strategy, 5 Initiatives

and 3 Programs, to manage demand and rationalize water and electricity consumption in the residential sector,

the Masjidi Initiative to replace ablution taps, Energy Efficiency Management Initiative for Government Agencies,

and the Water and Electricity Rationalization Program Initiative for the Agricultural

Sector, ,and the Innovation Initiative for the Implementation of Demand Management

Programs.

on Sunday, 08/04/2018, in order

to outline the best practices,

procedures and standards of

the Demand-side Management

Program.

Mr. Todd Davies, Consultant and Head of Demand- side Management, from

DNV.GL

outlined Al Ain Distribution

Company’s strategy to manage the Demand-side through initiatives and programs, which included 5 Initiatives

and 3 Programs as follows: residential sector (Demand management and rationalization of water and electricity

consumption in the residential sector, “Masjidi” Initive for replacement of ablution faucets, Water and Electricity

Rationalization Program Initiative for government agencies, Water and Electricity Rationalization Program

Initiative

for the agricultural sector , the Innovation initiative to implement demand management programs for the Sector,

Demand Management Program for the Commercial and Industrial Sectors, Demand Management Programs for

schools and universities, and Demand Management Programs for VIPs.

In addition, performers of Demand-side Management Program from

DNV.GL

clarified that the main objective of

this Initiative is to raise the awareness of the participants about the best practices and high efficiency technologies

in rationalizing the consumption of water and electricity, in addition to promoting the plans and initiatives

launched by the Program. in which it will use all mass media available to reach all categories of customers,

along with providing technical advice to a number of industrial establishments on the best ways, technologies

and practices that help them reduce their consumption of water and electricity, replacing old discrete cooling

systems and low efficiency lighting systems with high efficiency systems and systems, develop the necessary

plan and follow up the implementation of legislation, policies and plans, and increase the efficiency of energy

consumption in the various residential sectors, through the preparation of periodic reports to monitor progress,

through programs and techniques commensurate with the environment of the Al Ain city

of energy efficiency programs through the joint cooperation of the

TarsheedAD.com

Program, which provides

manuals for optimal use and reduce water and electricity consumption.
