Awareness Campaign

to Rationalize

Energy consumption in the Municipal

Affairs Department Al Ain Town

Planning and Surveying Sector

Al Ain Distribution Company, represented in a Demand-side Management organized an educational workshop

on rationalization of energy conservation for Municipality Affairs Department’s employees in the city planning

and urban planning sector in Al Ain Town Planning and Surveying Sector, in order to familiarize employees with

the correct practices and behaviours of energy consumption and to clarify the importance of their participation

in the conservation of these resources. These workshops comes within a series of educational workshops that

realize Al Ain Distribution Company’s strategy of promoting sustainable development in Al Ain City as well as

supporting and strengthening the Company’s role in raising awareness among employees in all institutions,

authorities, public and private governmental bodies and ways to conserve them.

Through engineers’ explanation on how to contribute to rationalization by changing these behaviours and

adopting these practices that contribute to saving energy such as employees’ behaviour of extinguishing the

office electrical devices after using them and making sure that lighting and air conditioners are switched off after

the official working hours, in addition to the service offer provided by the Company as the consulting service

provided by the Company free of charge to the customers, guarantees of security and protection required in the

electricity and water connections in homes and public facilities in order to safeguard the safety of individuals

and activate the efforts to rationalize consumption and to educate the public of the seriousness of random

connections and increase of loads.
