AADC honors winners of
internal excellence award in
its first round
AADC held a ceremony for honoring
the winners of its Excellence Award
in its first round, 2014, inAl AinResort
and Danat Hotel. The ceremony
witnessed the presence of H.E. Fares
Obaid Al Zaheri, General Manager
of Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity
Authority, H.E. Mohamed Salem Al
Zaheri, Chairman of the Board of
Directors, and H.E. Mohamed Salem
Al Shamsi, AADC General Manager,
H.E. Said Mohamed Al Suwaidi,
deputy General Manager of Abu
Dhabi Distribution Company, and a
number of directors of departments
and heads of sections and AADC
employees.
On this occasion, AADC General
Manager Mohamed Bin Omair Al
Shamsi stated that the excellence
award launching occurs within the
framework of the directives given
by H.H. General Mohamed Bin
Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown
Prince, Armed Forces Deputy
Supreme Commander, and Abu
Dhabi Executive Council Chairman,
to launch excellence awards in
agencies subordinate to Abu Dhabi
government, parallel to Abu Dhabi
Award for Excellence in Government
Performance, and contributing to
the fulfillment of its objectives.
Bin Omair added that through
the AADC Excellence Award, the
company seeks to encourage
employees and to fulfill a number of
objectives, support materialization
of the company strategy and
contribute
to
circulation
of
awareness regarding the culture of
excellence, quality and transparency
in AADC by disseminating the spirit
of positive competitiveness among
departments and sections.
The ceremony commenced with
the national anthem, followed
by a footage on the excellence
march of AADC and on the award
activity, assessment stages and
committees, as well as the projects
carried out and achievements
attained by the company through
improvement of the services level
in all its departments. The award
winners, in categories of excellent
projects, excellent team-works and
excellent individuals, were honored.
Here, it should be noted that the
award standards are designed on
the grounds of the standards of
Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in
Government Performance, which in
turn adopted international principles
and best practices towards
promotion of excellence culture in
government agencies.
At the end of the ceremony,
excellence supporters and the
award coordinating team-works
were honored.
