Al Ain Distribution Company
is Participating in the
Project of Mobile Station in
SustainabilityWeek 2018
Mr. Abdullah Al-Shuraiani, Acting Managing Director of Al Ain Distribution Company, said that both stations
will contribute in helping the company meeting its obligations according to the concluded contracts with
customers and supply the power to their facilities in the specified time, especially in the emergency and
unanticipated cases as well as in the cases of sudden large power outages in the main stations affiliated
to the company, praising the distinguished efforts of the company’s staff in general and national cadres
including in particular, engineers and technicians in the design and launch of such new projects.
Each mobile station consists of two main units; the first unit operates as a power generating station while the
other operates as a control room. Each mobile station is loaded on a separate truck with a capacity of (11.33KV)
per station, which can cover the needs of a complete residential area includes a number of houses ranging from
400 to 500 homes on a continuous basis until the completion of the procedures and the steps of the permanent
power supply.
Al-Shuraiani also stressed the importance of assembling and operating these two stations in the extension
of urgent connections, which are required to provide a proper power alternative in case of sudden outages
including severe weather cases and circumstances where the repair process and power restoration may take
several days or even weeks. Furthermore, Al Sheryani pointed out that the project comes within the framework
of the efforts exerted by the company to scale up its services and the quality standards required to enhance its
competitiveness in line with the orientations of the good government.
In the International Water Summit 2018, Al Ain Distribution Company affiliated to the
Department of Energy has participated with the project of Mobile Station; it is the first two
mobile stations of its type for power at the level of the Emirate. It aims to provide alternative
resources to the regular permanent stations of power to be used to meet the needs in the
exceptional and emergency cases.
