AADC presented creative projects in World Future Energy Summit 2020

Al Ain Distribution Company, one of Abu Dhabi Power Corporate companies, presented a number of creative projects in World Future Energy Summit Exhibition” 2020, that took place at ADNEC from 13 to 16 January 2020. WFES is a platform to exchange knowledge between interested parties in water sector to look for the existing and expected chances and challenges, work fast to set new strategies and adopt creative technologies to achieve water sustainability. The nature of AADC participation is part of its strategy aiming at communicate with society corporates and be an active participant in Abu Dhabi remarkable events.

 

In accordance with its participation, AADC managing director, Mr. Abdulla Al Sheryani said “The summit hosted by the capital Abu Dhabi is a remarkable global event full of different activities and events and gathered world experts to discuss solutions, innovations, visions and polices of renewable energy and future energy in one place”.  He stated that AADC will continue spreading its awareness message of energy conservation and providing a distinguished customer service which comes on the top of its work and strategy plan.

 

Through its participation, AADC presented a new technology “Smart Water Consumption Management”, an appliance with new technology to control water temperature specially in shower, aiming at saving water and reducing the leftover water in domestic use. AADC received a patent from USA certified entities for the first of its kind system that can be managed by smart home applications or mobile.

Therefore, Al Sheryani said “this smart system is a new valuable addition to AADC achievements on its way pioneering and excellence. Also, AADC is concern to provide a nurturing environment that encourage creativity and innovation and contribute in enhancing the country efforts to meet development and create a knowledge-based economy in power, water, renewable energy and environment”.   

Also, DR. Eng. Mahmoud Al Hader, Assets Information Section Head and invention owner, stated that the appliance can be the replacement of “Bath mixer” to benefit its amazing features. In addition, he confirmed “The new technology will solve the problem of consuming lots amount of water”, pointed that we lost a huge amount of water when we waiting for water to become warm, usually from 5 to 7 Gallons.

In addition, he said that the new technology will help user to set the water temperature as he desired before shower using his mobile, and when water temperature changed, he will receive an alert or message “the shower is ready”.

 

Al Hader pointed that the new appliance is a new system to save water at homes, and also has some features like recording water consumption rates at homes for each person, identify who is the most in water consumption and send notifications with directions and instructions to save water. So, that will result in changing family consumption behaviors and strengthening the concept of water conservation.     

 

Another part of the projects, AADC stand visitors can enjoy a live experience of live line maintenance, where they can see how AADC handles electricity emergency reports accurately and professionally within shortest possible time using up-to-date auto re-closer equipment.  Electricity Emergency Department works depending on “Maintenance under Voltage 33/11 K.V” and integrated vehicles supplied with the necessary tools and equipment to handle electrical failures without having to cut the power.  

Eng. Bader Al Thehli, Operations Executive Manager, stated that the company is always supporting and adopting the technical projects and ideas that lead to improve customer services and company performance. As a result, AADC implemented under voltage maintenance to avoid loss of supply during the periodic maintenance, to carry the highest occupational safety standards, as well as improve the performance indicators of the main grids, continuous of services and achieve the preventive maintenance under voltage.   

Finally, he added its worth to be mentioned that AADC launched a series of technical and technology equipment to upgrade customer services related to energy supply in general and to improve emergency services especially electrical failures maintenance, in order to meet company vision to be amongst the top quartile performers worldwide water and electricity utility companies and to supply its services in secure, effective and in eco- manner with cost-effective.
