The savings campaign (10/10), the first of its kind in energy conservation and with specific mechanisms for clients, was launched and organized by Al Ain Distribution Company “AADC” “affiliate of Department of Energy” as part of Tarsheed program and will continue for four months. The idea of this campaign depends on providing ten advices on conservation, five about conserving water and the other five for conserving electricity as the aim is to support and encourage the clients toward the best use of energy resources. The company ensures through this campaign to provide technical consultations and implement saving projects to raise clients’ awareness of conservation and help them in taking wise decisions for best and sustainable use of natural resources and understand the adverse effects of wasting the resources on the environment.
The campaign encourages the clients to make simple changes in their daily habits of using water and electricity by following ten steps contribute to save up to 10% of the monthly bill value. This campaign is targeted the residential category, in order to raise their awareness of the best use of high efficient practices and techniques at home to achieve saving up to 10% of water and 10 % electricity and educate them with the importance of taking efficiency measures and directing the positive changing toward the wise use of water and electricity.
Finally, he stressed “The clients can find on the company website an undertake of carrying the ten steps of saving water and electricity, which is serve as a principle mechanism to promote awareness among clients and achieve a significant saving in energy”.
