Al Ain Distribution Company, an affiliate company in the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Authority (ADWEA) hosted a group of the faculty of engineering students at the united Arab university for one month period to train them and upgrade their skills in the electricity and water directorate and to make them aware of the work progress in the directorate. The move support and indicate the company keenness and commitment to receive the students from the universities and institutions to prepare them in the field works . The visit had included an orientation period for the students to know more about the electricity directorate and its departments and sections and afield visit to the technical training centers and to be acquainted with the tools and equipment available in the technical center .
The staff of the company had exchanged the knowledge and information with the visiting students and they gave them a guidance and technical help that help the students in their study . The company engineers had displayed the state-of- the art equipment, tools and software technologies that being used in the company to protect the electrical network. The students had toured all the grid and substations to know more main components of the protection systems and what are the importance of the electrical protection equipment that reduce or prevent the occurrence of harms that could injured the staff who are near or working on these equipment . This training program is aiming to exchange information and knowledge with the academic and educational establishments . During the tour a special concentration on the work procedures and work processes in the electricity directorate was highlighted in addition to the precaution measures that are being taken to safely protect from electrical hazards and to motivates and encouraging the students to be well educated and to cope with the latest state – of- the art equipment and tools.
