Employment
1- Human Resources Development is a long-term policy pursued by AL Ain Distribution Company. Training systems are also given considerable attention and support so as to meet the training needs of the workforce. With regard to recruitment, the company pursues objective polices and recruitment criteria. To achieve this policy, the Manpower planning & development Section in the HR&A department is keen to employ and recruit the highly qualified staff through applying the (MPP) Manpower personnel policy in recruiting the required staff. Vacancies are advertised in the media means as well as in the company `s website.

2- The work environment in the company encourages working in a safe and secure environment and the opportunity for personnel development, Also the company has all the required infrastructures and modern equipment and the qualified staff for carrying out the works.  

 

The recruitment process is as the following:

  • When applications are received and thoroughly examined , qualified candidates are contacted and notified of the written tests dates. This is followed by a comprehensive review of both the written and oral performance of the candidates, after successfully completing the written tests, the candidate is to be given a new date for the personnel interview.
  • Their results and names are then submitted to the Chairman of the authority for endorsement. Those finally selected for the job are notified and asked to undertake a medical examination before assuming the position.

The process of the appointment is a meticulous one. This means that it ensures justice for all the candidates and leads to the appointment of the best cadres.


The career development program is designed to help and assist the fresh UAE graduate to be trained and develop their skills in the job and the company attaches greater value to professional development and seeks to ensure that each and every UAE national takes his/her turn in professional development . The human resources development division, in conjunction with other divisions and departments, has evolved professional development plans for national graduate of The UAE University, Higher College of Technology and other universities.

A plan outlining the skills that the employees should acquire is drawn up. These skills could be acquired either through experience or training. This is in addition to the secondment of employee to any of the companies or training institutes for training. The plan is discussed with the concerned employee, who is also made aware of the expected aims of the training. It lasts for not less than two years and is divided into specific terms. The job description for the employee during the training period is called “trainee graduate”. He or She is confirmed in the post after mastering the required skills. This program is implemented by the Al Ain Distribution company. It has been approved by the authority, as it proved efficient since it was implemented. The program is based on performance and not a specific period of time, thus it encourages the employees to do their best to achieve the required performance standard.

  • Is tailored to each position to be occupied by the employee after completing the program.
  • An assessment is conducted quarterly in the first year of the employee’s appointment, and then every six months till the program is completed. The assessment is conducted jointly by the employee and his line manger in order to ensure the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Once the program is completed, the employee will be confirmed in the post. He/She will be granted the annual salary increment based on his/her performance and the result of the previous year assessment.
  • The program comprises a list of training courses recommended for the employee which he/she will attend during the development period.

Nevertheless, the employee’s career development program will not be over upon completion of the development period but will continue with further training to help him/her acquire  more advanced skills which would help him / her in upgrading  his / her performance throughout his/her employment in the company.

  • C.V.
  • Graduation Certificate or official letter of Completion
  • Copy of valid passport
  • Copy of the Family Registration Summary
  •  Equivalent letter from Ministry of Higher Education ( in case if the certificate is issued from abroad or from a private institute) or university
